Ten Month Certification Program

The Center for Therapeutic Massage School is
dedicated to providing the highest quality
training in the practice of therapeutic massage,
while providing information and guidance in the
practical aspects of establishing and promoting
massage and bodywork as enhancements and
alternatives to other forms of health care. Our
mission is to advance the science and art of
therapeutic massage through excellence in
training, education, and professional development.

Our intensive 600 hour certification program,
taught by the area's most experienced and
qualified professionals, includes instructor-led
lecture and hands-on training and practice in
the areas of:

- Swedish and Advanced Therapeutic Massage
- Sports / Medical Massage
- Prenatal and Geriatric Massage
- Human Anatomy and Physiology

- Massage Theory and Ethics
- Health, Sanitation, and Safety Practices
- Client Assessment and Treatment Planning
- Business Ethics and Practices

This program is designed to prepare students for the National Certification Exam and for a career as a certified massage practitioner. Upon graduation, students will be proficient and confident in Swedish and deep tissue therapeutic massage. Graduates will be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue careers as certified massage therapists, and will be eligible for membership in the Association of Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP), and in the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).

CTMS is approved by the New Jersey Department of Vocational Education, and by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education provider under Category A.
